| I shamelessly posted photographs of my daughter on this website a few weeks ago and I got to thinking it was only fair to give other babies equal time.
RCBB hornist Mariela Bohannon (she’s the one who sang the tango El Dia Que Me Quieras on the October series) and her horn-playing husband Scott (he’s an equally great player and has substituted with the RCBB on a number of occasions) have the most beautiful new daughter, Marisol, born on Easter Sunday of this year. Here are two great shots of the baby. Congratulations to the proud parents..jpg)
On a completely different subject, the music writer of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Bob Karlovits, and I have a bet about the November concert. We’ve talked recently about the RCBB “mystery tune” segment, its high response rate, and the high number of correct answers. (Total entries/total correct in October: 797/251; in September 772/160).
Bob and I happened to be talking as I put the finishing touches on the November program and he ended up having a hand in choosing this month’s mystery tune, which I think is going to be a good bit more difficult than the previous two. In fact, I’m betting that the total number of correct answers this month will be under 80; Bob is betting it will exceed that number. We’ll see.
